![]() ![]() Your game shouldn't have to force people to want to play every day. Dailies and weeklies are a perfect example of why login/activity data is not a good measure of game design success. I almost feel like they should have just kept it mobile only and not waste time making it on PC, it already had that mobile reputation and it's going to be hard, if not impossible to repair that.Įdit: I had forgot to mention the daily/weekly design and how that pretty much originated in mobile gaming, plagues modern mmos, and is probably my least favorite design aspect of any game at all and one of the big reasons I don't play mmos other than GW2 & ESO anymore (they still have dailies/weeklies but they are not used to pace you, they are simply extra reward for doing stuff you might do anyways). I mean I really have to learn more about it but I don't see myself spending any time playing this over D2R or D3, not to mention Grim Dawn & Path of Exile (which is already mmoish, established, and built for PC). Stamina mechanics that constantly limit you until you put another quarter in, mtx that are intended to be better than spending time playing the game, gameplay designs that are made specifically to harness the uniqueness of touch controls, etc. Essentially, Diablo Immortals rifts are loot boxes that require you to kill some enemies for before you get your random rewards, and Crests are a way to pay for higher tier loot boxes that are. It's because I hate mobile game design, it's not my kind of gaming. I don't know if I care that it's coming to PC, a lot of the reasons I dislike mobile games is not strictly the ui, how it looks visually, or the fact that I have to game on my phone.
